| Description | The 2.8-Liter Turbo V6 Engine was introduced to Saab in the 2006 9-3 in
both Aero Sedan and Aero Convertible. It will also be available in the 2006 9-3 Aero SportCombi.
After viewing this video, technicians will be familiar with the 2.8-Liter Turbo engine’s features. A general introduction includes descriptions of
its Continuous Variable Cam Phasing (CVCP) and dual scroll turbocharger
systems. Special emphasis is placed on the procedures for replacing the timing chains and setting engine timing – unique service procedures for
Saab. The location of the timing chain’s colored links and the special tools used to secure the camshafts during service are covered in detail.
